Earth Hour

Some 300 students of Sunway University College joined Sunway Pyramid for the lights out on Earth Day global event. The students, geared up with candles and Earth Hour T-shirts sang “Heal the World” led by Benjamin Lai, a staff of Sunway University College and Sunway Idol finalist.

The ecstatic students sang from the heart in the hope of increasing awareness for our earth. Nicole Lee, one of the students said “This is something different and I hope that through all our individual efforts we can try and save the world together”.

The students also organised and participated in a Green Fair booth at Sunway Pyramid selling hand made greeting cards and book marks made from recycled paper and stone paper weights. The items were made by G.O.L.D, the special class of learning disabled students in SMK Bandar Sunway. The 300 students were made up of local and international students from Korea, China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Botswana, Nigeria, Mauritius, Maldives, Pakistan and India.
