SAS certification and fully-paid study tour now in Information Systems degree
Sunway University (Sunway) through its School of Computer Technology (SCT) is the first Malaysian higher institution to offer a joint certification with SAS Institute Inc. USA (SAS) in its Information Systems degree course. Sunway will offer a specialization in the area of Business Intelligence and Data Mining.
The international joint certificate endorsed by SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, will be issued to students who successfully complete the requirement for the two subjects starting this year.

New Programme! Gain a world-class education in gastronomy and hospitality from Le Cordon Bleu
The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Management (SHTLM) at Sunway University has partnered the famed Le Cordon Bleu (LCB) fostering a collaboration that combines the scholarly rigour of Sunway with a rich tradition of excellence in culinary and hospitality education. Le Cordon Bleu is one of the most respected schools of gastronomy and hospitality management founded in 1895 in Paris, France.
LCB will validate three of Sunway’s diploma programmes; the Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Events Management and the Diploma in Culinary Arts. The Diploma in Culinary Arts is the latest addition of which Sunway received the approval to conduct from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia recently. All three diploma programmes will include a 20-week internship, providing an integrated approach of learning by doing and exposure to real-world experience. Students who have successfully completed these Diploma courses will be awarded two certificates, one from Sunway and one from Le Cordon Bleu.

Intellectual Property Assets in Wireless Technologies and Mobility at Sunway University
Sunway University co-hosted the 4th MSC Malaysia R&D Series & IP Connect 2010 with the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) at the Sunway University campus recently. The theme of this series was Wireless and Mobility. Approximately 100 MSC Malaysia Status Companies and Institutions of Higher Learning attended the series.
The objective of the MSC Malaysia R&D Series was to inform the MSC Malaysia community of the many available R&D programmes and funds; to disseminate information on current and emerging technology topics of interest to the MSC Malaysia community; encourage networking and knowledge sharing within the MSC Malaysia community; and lastly, to promote R&D collaboration between Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs) and MSC Malaysia Status Companies.
