Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Sunway University and Japan’s Kansai Gaidai College

Sunway University’s Centre for English Language Studies (CELS) and Kansai Gaidai College, Osaka Japan, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU sealed a firm cooperation between the institutions to facilitate student exchange programmes, starting in 2015. Kansai Gaidai College is expected to send about 30 students to Sunway for English learning.

Present at the MoU ceremony were Dr Elizabeth Lee, Senior Executive Director of Sunway Education Group, Prof Graeme Wilkinson, Vice Chancellor, Prof Pua Eng Chong, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean of Faculty of Arts, Prof Stephen Hall, Head of Centre for English Language Studies of Sunway University; Prof Kazuko Tanimoto, Vice President, Prof Kazushi Hiromoto, Professor, and Kayoko Ochi, Exchange Coordinator of Centre for International Education from Kansai Gaidai College.

Sunway University and Hilti Asia IT to collaborate on research and development and share expertise

Sunway University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with construction solutions company, Hilti Asia IT Services Sdn Bhd last week, to collaborate on research and share expertise on specific technology.

The MoU is also expected to facilitate exchange of ideas, expertise and visits in the pursuit of research and development as well as curriculum development and jointly participate in seminars and conferences relevant to the industry.

Engineering options at University of Auckland for Sunway students

A double signing ceremony between Sunway University, Sunway College and the University of Auckland was held recently at the Sunway Campus. Sunway University’s American Degree Transfer Programme (ADTP) and Sunway College’s Pre-University Studies Programme signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Engineering, University of Auckland to include an option for engineering students from both institutions to study in the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Sunway University’s accounting and finance programme gains maximum exemptions from CIMA

Sunway University and CIMA (the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), the world's largest professional body of management accountants that offers the most relevant finance qualification for business recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) where CIMA has accorded the maximum number of exemptions to Sunway’s Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting and Finance programme. Graduates of this programme will receive the maximum 11 exemptions of the CIMA Professional Qualification in Management Accounting. Sunway University may also use the CIMAstudy.com online study material to complement classroom teaching.
