Sunway University’s students from the BSc (Hons) Business Studies and Diploma in Business Administration recently showcased their thirteen weeks of marketing research work with a fun-filled poster display and booth exhibition.
For this round of Marketing Research, students in their individual groups were tasked to find one issue or problem on Fashion Marketing, in this case the phenomenon surrounding fashion choices and consumer behaviour, formulate a hypothesis based on a conducted research, the poster and booth display being the final outcome of their findings.
Ten groups, eight from Diploma in Business Administration and two from BSc (Hons) Business Studies were required to present their research findings and outcome to a panel of judges and audiences.
“Their efforts and intuitive research into the phenomenon surrounding Fashion choices and the consumer behaviourism of fashion are the central themes for this semester. Fashion in Malaysia has not been well researched especially when it comes to apparel and the choices of different clothing, so it is with hope that the research output displayed by the students will enhance and shed light into for the retail marketing and the fashion industry,” said Derek Ong, Senior Lecturer with the Department of Marketing, Sunway University Business School (SUBS).
At Sunway University, students do not only learn from textbooks. They acquire current knowledge from the research carried out by academics and also through research projects assigned to them in the course of their study.
