Exhibition manager, Lee Jung Joo who is in her last semester in the Diploma in Events Management expressed, “This event managed to provide me with good learning platforms through real life experiences such as leading a team to organise an event.”
Attendees experienced a Korean-filled night with the final showdown of a Korean Style Talent Show Competition and a Korean Culture Exhibition. Free kimchi tasting from the Korean Women’s Association and fabulous performances by Red Mouse Dance Academy and The London Boys doing “Oppa Gangnam Style” energized the event.

Apart from interesting performances, Korean traditional games such as 공기 Gong Gi, 동전따먹기 Coins and딱지Ddakji – a famous paper flipping game as seen in Running Man (Korea Trending Variety Show) were available for all attendees to play. Hee Mang ended with a bang when the only Korean couple among all finalists emerged as the winner and walked away with the main prize that was worth RM1,500.

The students raised RM5,000 from the event which will be donated to Rumah HOPE. Adeline Kok, the event and exhibition advisor for the students from the CTHCM of Sunway University expressed that the project had provided a good opportunity for events students to be exposed to a real-life event, from planning right up to the execution stage. The students were also exposed to the operational and logistics aspect of events management.
