International Agents Conference

The first International Agents Conference was held in Sunway University (Sunway) recently. With 66 participants from various parts of the world, the International Agents Conference started with a welcome speech by Mr. Baskaran Sabapathy, Organizing Chairman of Sunway’s International Agents Conference 2010.

The International Agents Conference was aimed to provide all agents and representatives with an in-depth knowledge of Sunway’s programmes, facilities and services. Besides motivating the agents to promote Sunway on international grounds, there was a need to foster interaction between the agents and Sunway staff.

The heads of schools and departments were given an opportunity to talk about their programmes and services throughout this conference via relationship marketing approaches. This conference was vital as it was a stepping stone in building the Sunway brand together and increasing the international student population at Sunway.

Ms. Elizabeth Lee, Executive Director of Sunway University said during her closing speech in the International Agents Conference “I hope you have enjoyed tasting life as a student here and also gained a better understanding of Sunway University. I trust too, that for many of you, including those here for the first time, we have met your expectation”. She expressed that international education is a form of exposure that is significant for international students in producing working adults that are effective, capable and individuals with visions. Through international education, students can serve a role by becoming graduates that can foster trade, foreign investment and transfer of technology through the advancement of economy in their home country.

Mr. Baskaran believed the conference was a success and the main objectives of the conference were certainly achieved. He thought it was also a good platform for networking amongst the agents to discuss and propose new business plans.
