Scholarship gift for youth at the BN Youth Job Fair

The Jeffrey Cheah Foundation gifted RM383,000 in scholarships and financial aid to the Barisan Youth Education Scholarship Fund which was set up in conjunction with the Barisan National Youth Job Fair held for 3 days recently at the Putra World Trade Centre. The mega fair attracted 650 participating organisations and provided good opportunities for youth to meet with potential employers.

The Jeffrey Cheah Foundation pledged scholarships for 10 different programmes of study in such areas as accounting, business, tourism, graphic design, IT and psychology; at Sunway University. BN Youth has stated that the scholarships and financial aid will be available to qualified students regardless of race or religion and ensured that only those who deserve scholarships will receive them. This is in line with the spirit of the Foundation which is that a good education at the highest level should not be denied to those deserving and to those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Jeffrey Cheah Foundation was the only Foundation that contributed towards the BN Youth Education Scholarship Fund.

Puan Sri Datin Seri Dr. Susan Cheah, wife of Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah presented the pledge on behalf of the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation at the Fair.
