Ling Jin Yew, who achieved a CGPA of 4.0 said, “This is the first scholarship I have received and I would not have made it if it weren’t for teachers and friends. My teachers reminded me that as long as I continue to work hard and am determined, my hard work will be rewarded.” When asked why he had chosen to pursue Aviation and Flight Service, he said, “It has always been my dream since I was a kid to fly.”

Ling shared that the Sunway ADTP programme has been great. “My lecturers and friends have been more than supportive as they have constantly helped me throughout this course. We are really more than a close-knitted community. We are a family.”

Arafat Bin Mahabub, who attained a CGPA of 3.86 said, “It always feels good to receive a scholarship especially in the honourable presence of John M Dunn, President of WMU. I always try to do my best and make my parents proud. What I hope to achieve is to go to the United States to pursue my studies and hopefully do better there.”

Arafat has always wanted to do Engineering, but Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering encompasses a wider coverage of the engineering field as well as business. “This is the degree for me,” he said. Arafat described his Sunway ADTP experience as great as lecturers and friends have been very helpful and supportive. I’ve learned so much apart from Engineering during my course such as economics and knowledge of the world. This has definitely contributed to me being an all-rounder,” he said.
