Maybank GO Ahead Challenge 2014 Campus Level at Sunway University

“I’ve learnt a lot in this short period of time especially as a committee member for this year’s Maybank GO Ahead Challenge 2014”, said Nico Fernando, Sunway College’s Victoria University alumnus now in the Global Maybank Apprentice Programme. In last year’s challenge, Nico emerged First Runner-Up with his team.

For this year’s challenge, Sunway University is one of 15 campuses in the region for the Campus Level stage. Sixty-eight participants, thirty from Sunway University went through various challenges lined up for the day; the GO Ahead Hunt, GO Ahead Select, GO Ahead Shine and the GO Ahead Pitch. The students under Sunway University were students from the Lancaster University, Victoria University and ACCA programmes.

At the end of the day, there were a total of sixteen finalists, thirteen from Sunway University and three from Monash University Malaysia. They will join finalists from other Campus Level challenges at the National Levels and the International Grand Finals in August 2014.


The Maybank GO Ahead Challenge is Maybank’s unique method of attracting young graduates’ the unconventional way. The unique home grown Challenge was developed to attract young graduates with exceptional potential, calibre and quality.
